Getting Started Was Easier Said Than Done
First thing, I grabbed my laptop still half-asleep. Typed “Ethiopian Premier League standings” into the search bar thinking it’d be simple. Hah. Wrong. First few links were either old news or just… empty.
Clicked through this one football news site that looked legit from the preview. Big mistake. Page took forever to load, like dial-up speeds. Seriously. Then when it finally showed up? The standings section had a broken little league table icon and nothing else. Just blank space staring back at me. That sucked.
Switching Gears
Okay, scratch that. Went back to the search results feeling annoyed. Saw another link, some sports aggregator place. Gave it a shot. This time the page actually loaded quickly. Found the Ethiopian section pretty fast under “African Leagues.” Felt hopeful!
But… hold up. The date on the standings? December something. December?! Man, it’s nowhere near December. Either the site forgot to update or got stuck in last year. Completely useless. Closed that tab so fast.

Starting to get frustrated. Decided maybe I needed to hit the horse’s mouth – the official league website. Found what seemed like the right place. Looked kinda basic, but maybe it had the fresh stuff.

By now my coffee was cold. Tried one more search, throwing “today” into the mix. Saw a link to a different league table site I kinda knew.
Opened it expecting another letdown. Miracle! It loaded! Scrolled down the page feeling skeptical until I saw it:

The table looked clean, teams listed properly. And the magic thing? Right up top: “Updated: [Today’s Date]”. Finally!
Took a minute to scan it. My club? Mid-table. Okay, expected. Saw who’s leading the pack. Noted a couple of teams surprisingly close to the bottom. Snapped a screenshot for myself. Done!
Wrap Up
Honestly? Finding a simple, updated league table shouldn’t be such an epic quest. Took way more tries and dead ends than it should have. Broken links, slow sites, outdated info – the whole mess. But finally nailing it felt good. Now I know where things stand… at least for today. Probably just bookmarking that last site for next time. Lesson learned the hard way!
